A Short Lived Vacation

The vacation has come and gone. Somehow time off just never seems to be long enough before its back to the grind once again. The time away was refreshing though and some very much needed rest. I actually didn't end up going anywhere this time. I had some days to use and decided to take a week off where I just stayed around Waco and relaxed. Sometimes when I come back from a vacation I feel like I need a vacation to rest up from the vacation, so I was looking forward to this one.

The majority was spent sleeping in a little, running a lot, reading, hanging out with friends, playing a little golf, and helping a couple other friends move. I got out the smoker on Sat and cooked some brisket. Played a little Texas Hold'Em on Tuesday. Overall it was a nice week and great break.

My original intention for this week off was to take the GMAT, however that didn't quite happen. I think what I need to do is go ahead and set the date to take it and just get it done with. I really would like to go ahead and take the test so that I can really begin to explore my options around grad work.

Work was work today. The first day back often makes you question ever having taken vacation in the first place, but overall the backlog wasn't too bad. I've got a couple projects that I really need to crack down on to complete by the end of this year though.

Well, time to crash. Cheers.
