The Airlines SUCK!
Okay, so I got to the Waco Airport (which I truly love to fly out of - much better then going to Dallas), checked my bag and hopped on the plane. All was well. I get to Dallas and have to go from the Eagle satellite terminal to terminal C. Not too much of a problem, but I've only got about 30 mins before boarding and I wanted to try to grab a bite to eat. I get to my next gate only to find that my 8:00 flight had been delayed till 8:30. 8:30 rolls around and they delay it until 9:10. 9:10 comes around and no word. No plane at the gate yet, so pretty sure that's no happening either. Announcement..... 10:00 now. 9:50 - still no plane. 10:30 now. Good times. Finally get on the plane and take off around 10:45ish. I get into St Louis at 12:30 and for some unknown reason they bring us in at the farthest gate out (the airport is completely empty. Could we not have picked a closer gate?) After my 20 min walk to baggage (ok - it may not have been 20 mins, but it felt like it), I started waiting for my bags. There were 2 belts and they told us it would be one of the two. Now, when they said this I assumed that meant they were going to use one of the two belts, but just didn't know which yet. No, not the case. Apparently 4 delayed flights had come in at the same time and they began to unload all 4 on both flights. Bags from my flight were coming off of BOTH BELTS!!! This is completely logical. I got to spend the next hour (yes - really an hour) going from belt to belt trying to find my bag. Much to my pure joy and excitement, my bag did not show. Its now 1:30am, I'm still at the airport, and I have no bag. Ahh... good times. I go to baggage claim only to find that there was not enough room on the plane and they had decided to leave numerous bags in Dallas. Don't you think they could have told me this up front instead of telling me to keep waiting to see if my bag might it off??? They knew it was in Dallas!! Oh well, nothing I can do now. Supposed to drive to Springfield in the morning, so I have to get them to reroute my bad from Dallas to Springfield instead of delivering it to St Louis. I call today to verify that it made the flight to Springfield and they tell me that they won't know until the flight has arrived and all the bags have been scanned. They don't know if the bag is on the plane or not??? Don't they have to scan the bags when they put them on the plane?? So, basically they have no clue where my bag is. It may be on a plane to Springfield, but then again maybe not. Its currently 4:30 on Christmas Eve and I'm still wearing the same clothes that I had on yesterday morning when I got ready for work. I'm happy.

2 More Days!!!!
Actually less really. I'm on a plane at 6:00 tomorrow night and very much ready to get out of here! I'll be headed to St Louis, then Springfield, then back to St Louis, followed by a trip to DC. Very much looking forward to getting away.
Currently debating a trip for this summer. I'm definitely going somewhere and I'm leaning towards going to Peru, however Spain is a lingering thought as well. Thoughts?
Can I tell you how much I hate shopping this time of year? I really do. I meant to do all my Christmas shopping online this year, but I forgot. Now I'm going to be stuck with doing it all on Christmas Eve, which completely sucks. Oh well. I'll survive.
Probably my last post for a bit, so Feliz Navidad!
