D'OHHHH!!!!

I was so on a roll yesterday only to have a complete collapse in the evening games!! The last 4 games ( AZ/Seton Hall; Dayton/DePaul; Zags/Valpo; and AF/NC) absolutely destroyed all my hopes!!! I was 11 for 12 going into these last 4 games of the night. I think I cursed myself by calling Blair to tell him that I was 11 for 12 - damn you sports jinks. I had AZ, Dayton, and Air Force picked on the 3 games and they all lost!!! What the freak?? I called the Zags for my brackets, but they beat Valpo by 20+ which cost me winning my first parlay bet. Tragic. Want to know what is more tragic??? Arizona/Seton Hall was the first game of my second parlay bet and Arizona lost - now out of both bets.

All things new today though and I haven't lost any Sweet 16 teams yet!! My upset watches: Murry State & Louisville. Better not lose: Louisville & Kansas & Vandy!! Good luck to all (unless you are betting against me). Cheers!

UPDATE!! UPDATE!!!
Manhattan and Tech won so I'm looking quite good on one of my parlay bets!! I know you all were dying to know. Cheers.
LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!!!!!

It just doesn't get much better then March!! Spring Training, college baseball in full swing, and of course - March Madness!!! My brackets are in, my $ is paid, and tragically I'm at the office. Shouldn't the first 2 days of games be a national holiday?? That's my new swing issue - whatever canidate will push for these to be national holidays has my vote!! I've got a friend in Vegas right now, so I got to put a couple parlay bets down on a few teams. I've got two 3 team parlays down. The first: Arizona, Murry St, & Kansas. The second: Tx Tech, Manahattan, & Valpo. GOOD TIMES!!!

Why am I blogging this week?? NO ONE IS HERE!!!!

The Luck Of The Irish Is With Me

Happy St Patty's Day! I woke up this morning and did my usual thing of getting up, take a shower, get ready, and head to Starbuck's (although I actually shook things up a bit today and went to Benny's Bagels - craziness, I know). On the way to work I flipped the radio on to and heard that it was St Patrick's Day. Crap! I completely forgot it was St Patrick's Day! OH BUT WAIT..... That's right, kids - I've got a green shirt on anyway. Yes, it was calling in my blood today to wear green. Something deep down just made me instinctively know that I needed to wear my green shirt today. It runs deep my friends, it runs deep.

Near Traumatic Experience!

I logged into my Hotmail account to find a very disturbing e-mail from TiVo today. "Problem With Your TiVo Account". The e-mail: we were unable to bill your account this month, please contact us or your service will be interrupted. NO BUENO!!! What would I do without TiVo?? How would I watch West Wing tomorrow, who would tape friends for me, would I miss Scrubs this week?? All of this racing through my head as I quickly called the TiVo hotline! At first I thought this was going to be a great TiVo experience when they picked up the line. I got the usual recording and menu - HOWEVER between menu selection was the TiVo "bla blop". Music to my ears - thank you for that TiVo! Tragically though, this experience was about to go downhill. I knew what the issue was - I had canceled my credit card that they had on file and just needed to give them a new one. I finally got to the option to speak to a live agent and the estimated wait-time quote was as: "an extremely long period of time". Not so much music to the ears. I will say they were honest though - it was an extremely long period of time before someone answered me. She was very helpful though and was quickly back up and running (You can breathe now, Craig - TiVo has been restored and all is right in the world once again). FYI, as of now the TiVo "bla blop" is not available in ringer tones.

Cheers - Tom
