4 Days, 12 hours, 45 mins, 40 secs...
That's tell the beautiful words are spoken..... Pitchers and Catchers Report!!!! (This is according to the Cardinals website at the time I was typing it). I'm quite excited and will be attending Cards spring training with the fam once again this year in about 4 weeks.
This weekend however was the opening of Baylor Baseball's 2004 season. Friday nights game was snowed out. You heard me correctly, snowed out in Waco, TX!! Craziness! Sat they played, but it was one of the coldest baseball games I've ever been to and we dropped it 8-7. I'm not putting much stock in it though considering the weather. Sunday's double-header however was a different story. The Bears picked up the first game 5-4 with Zane picking up the save. The second game was the best part of the weekend. Our new LH Freshman pitched a no-no into the seventh. One runner got to first on error, but Smith pulled him in favor of Zane to close it out (it was only being played to the 7th due to time constraints). Zane picked up his 2nd save of the day and we got an exciting look at what looks to be fantastic addition to the starting rotation. Looks like a great season and I couldn't be more excited about our seats!!! WOW!!!
Blogging might be sparse this week due to an insane workload and some business travel. I'll try and catch some tomorrow though.
Cheers
